Some electricity retailers offer plans with a daily free-energy period, commonly around three hours. A compatible battery inverter can be scheduled to charge from the grid during this window, with the stored energy then used later in the day or overnight. Availability, times, eligibility and conditions vary between retailers and may change or be withdrawn. Always compare the system under No free period and make sure the investment is still acceptable without the free window.

Free-energy plans, charging windows, eligibility rules and retailer conditions may change or be withdrawn in the future. The three-hour option should be treated as an additional benefit—not the only reason the investment makes financial sense.
